More To Come After Beyonce’s Huge Homecoming On Netflix

Two days after the highly-anticipated Beyonce documentary Homecoming was released on the Netflix, new details about her deal with the streaming service was released. Reportedly, Beyonce’s deal also includes two more projects she will release with the streaming giant.

Homecoming is the first film in a three-project deal, which is worth a whopping $60 million, according to Variety, amid her fans’ fury after believing Ariana Grande was paid twice as much as her for Coachella. 

Netflix has been shelling out big bucks in new overall deals with content creators, with Ryan Murphy ($250 million), Shonda Rhimes ($100 million), Dave Chappelle ($60 million) and Chris Rock ($40 million).

Beyonce is credited as the writer, director and executive producer on Homecoming, which goes behind-the-scenes of her iconic performance at Coachella in 2018.

The documentary itself is said to have cost $20 million to produce, though neither Beyonce’s team nor Netflix commented.

There was a source at Netflix who disputed the financial details of the deal, but another report indicates the movie almost landed somewhere else.
